Lucentive Spaces runs AI-native sanctuaries on the Portuguese coast where a guest notices housekeeping most when it fails, which means the job is to make sure it never does. As Housekeeping Lead you own the housekeeping standard across one or more properties in your care and run the team that delivers it, day in and day out, whether the house is full or empty. You set the standard, train to it, and check it. You don't just do the rounds yourself and hope the rest of the team matches you.
Responsibilities
What you would own.
Own housekeeping standards across the properties in your care, and make sure every room meets them, every time.
Hire, train, and schedule a small housekeeping team, and make sure they meet the standard consistently.
Plan turnover timing around arrivals, departures, and same-day changes without last-minute scrambling.
Manage linen, supplies, and equipment so the team never runs short mid-shift.
Inspect finished rooms and spaces yourself, not just trust that they were done.
Coordinate with the Estate Manager and House Steward on property-wide condition and maintenance needs you spot along the way.
Handle special requests (allergy-safe cleaning, specific product preferences) as routine, not exceptions.

You set a clear standard for the people around you and maintain it under pressure, moving between a guest, a vendor, and your own team in the same hour without losing what matters.

Useful background
- Experience leading a housekeeping team in a luxury hotel, private estate, or comparable high-end setting.
- Direct people-management experience: hiring, training, scheduling, setting and enforcing a standard.
- An eye for detail that catches what a guest would notice, even when you're moving fast.
- Comfort managing supply budgets and inventory without waste.
- Portuguese or English fluent enough to train and manage a team.
- Experience across multiple properties or a rotating team, not a single fixed location.
- Familiarity with eco-conscious or specialty cleaning products and protocols.
- Experience training new hires from scratch to a documented standard.
